IASME Governance is a standard which allows small to medium sized enterprise businesses to demonstrate their level of cyber security and information security compliance.
IASME Governance takes a risk-based approach to assess an organisations information security and cyber security posture against key areas such as Incident Response, Supply Chain Security, Planning & Operations and Staff Awareness.
IAMSE Governance also incorporates both Cyber Essentials assessment and an assessment against the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
While tendering for contracts, IASME Governance certification can show that you take information security and cyber security seriously, and that you are capable of meeting security requirements set out within the contract.
Not only is IASME Governance a cheaper alternative to the ISO27001 standard, it can also help in giving your customers assurance that you store, process, and handle their personal data or business data securely and responsibly.
There are two options to obtain IASME Governance Certification. The first is a Self-Assessment option whereby you will complete the assessment without any assistance.
The second option is the IASME Governance Audited which is the highest level of IASME Certification and is an alternative to ISO27001. This option requires an onsite audit involving interviews with members of staff and documentation review.
